Our Hygienists

Andrea BennettANDREA
Hello, I am Andrea Bennett and have been with this office for 19 years. I became associated with this office while in dental assisting school and did my externship here with Dr. John Oakley. I was also a patient here while growing up. I started working here in 1990 after Dr. Oakley called me to work as a receptionist. After being here for a while and with encouragement from the other staff, I decided to start taking classes and apply for Dental Hygiene School. I was accepted in 1994 to Elizabethtown Dental Hygiene program through University of Kentucky. I worked here on days off while in college and after graduating in 1996, I started working as a hygienist with Dr. Shrewsbury. I feel I chose a great career. I love what I do and working one on one with my patients, and the relationships I have made with them through the years. I enjoy helping people to restore their mouths to healthy, happy smiles. I am a divorced mother of a 25 year old son. I enjoy gardening and working in the yard. I also love to travel. I feel you only have one life to see and do all you can.

Casey FletcherCASEY
Hello. I am Casey Fletcher, one of the hygienists in our office. I'm married and live in Bardstown. I have been an employee here for four years, but I have been practicing for five years. I graduated from U of L with an associate degree in dental hygiene with a license to administer anesthesia and nitrous oxide. The best thing about being a hygienist is the interaction with patients, building relationships with patients, and of course, helping patients have good oral health.

Heather GiesHEATHER
My name is Heather Gies. I have been a dental hygienist for 5 years now. I graduated from the University of Louisville in 2004. I worked in Louisville for 4 years and began working with Dr. Ron in April of 2008. Working as a hygienist has been great for me because I enjoy making a difference in people's smiles and what they think about the way their teeth look. It's a self-confidence booster when you improve some's smile. I also enjoy the friendships that I build with my patients. I volunteer at the Nelson County Community Dental Clinic as much as I can. This gives people the opportunity to have dental treatment they can not afford. When I am not at work I love to hang with my friends and family. I love spring and summer because outdoors is where I like to be.

Paula NalleyPAULA

I was awarded an Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from University of Louisville in 1973, a B.S. degree in 1994, and received an anesthesia license in 2004.   I served for a time on the Board of Director's at Elizabethtown Community College Dental Hygiene School. For a time I was a private practice hygienist in Corbin, London, Louisville, Hodgenville, Radcliff and Elizabethtown. Finally found a home in Bardstown. My colleagues are like family to me. Our patients, most we have known and treated for years. The greatest satisfaction from my job is when a patient leaves the office looking and feeling better. I love the new office. Thanks, Dr. Ron. I am married to Joseph Nalley and together we have three sons, one daughter and seven grandchildren. I enjoy cooking, reading and travel. I also like keeping up with new technology. Dentistry is changing and I like bringing these changes to our patients.
